Jennifer Bell, after deciding to retire as CEO of North America at the end of 2024, has been appointed as the executive chair of North America at Aon.

Lori Goltermann, CEO of Regions for Aon, has assumed direct leadership of the firm’s North America region, effective immediately.

Eric Andersen, president of Aon, praised Bell’s contributions: “Throughout her remarkable career as a marine broker, a producer, strategic account manager on global clients, and in senior Aon leadership roles – Jennifer built and developed strong, inclusive teams focused on both delivering the best of our firm to our clients and growth opportunities for colleagues. We congratulate Jennifer on her retirement and thank her for the many years of contributions on behalf of our colleagues and clients.”

Bell has held leadership roles at Aon and in the broader risk industry for over 33 years. She served as regional managing director of the central region, regional managing director for the Northeast region, and president and chief operating officer of Cleveland. She also co-led Aon’s Global Inclusive Leadership Council, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to inclusion.

Reflecting on her tenure, Bell said, “For the last three decades, I have had the opportunity to work with incredible Aon colleagues and help our clients solve their greatest needs. Aon has proven its ability to lead the industry and deliver more for clients and I am excited to see the firm’s continued success.” &
